Frequently Asked Questions

When a customer desires a custom sign, I charge an upfront fee of $50, in addition to the cost of the artwork/sign.  I understand that it is hard to visualize what your order may look like in a final design. So I have a policy to set your mind at ease! I will give a 100% refund if you do not like what you see with the initial design. See next FAQ for how the Custom Orders Work.

How Custom Orders Work:
-After you tell me what you desire, then I will send a proof (simulated image) of your graphic design in brown, shown over an image of wood.
-I can then revise the graphic design, per your comments, and await your complete satisfaction with the design.
-We don't make anything until we are both satisfied with the design.
-Only after the design is fully approved do we fully commit us both to this sale and start the many steps of making the item.  At this time, a 40% deposit is required before it goes on the machine.

All artwork should be hung indoors and out of direct sunlight to keep the finish vibrant. We seal our maps and signs with a high-grade Clear Coat for an attractive natural finish.  To shine them up if they get dusty-- dry wipe with a microfiber cloth.

For all Cutting Boards, Charcuterie, Utensils:  Hand wash with regular dish soap (Do Not Use Dishwasher for ANY Wood). If the item looks dull and dry, you can sand it lightly and then recondition the wood with mineral oil (from the drug store) or butcher block oil. Rub oil in, let it sit for 15 minutes, and then buff off any excess. We also have handmade Natural Board Butter for sale upon request.

Shipping will vary depending on the size and weight of product. We will ship for the calculated cost of Shipping and Handling. If local, then we can arrange pick up or drop off.

I do not sell or ship products outside the United States or international.

By purchasing, you are considered responsible for ensuring the hanging system used is fit for the weight, the structure of wall it will be mounted to, and that it is properly installed. If you have concerns or difficulty with installation, I'm happy to recommend the best way according to your purchase! All mountable pieces have keyholes or Sawtooth metal hangers on the back for easy hanging depending upon the weight of the piece.
